Martins is situated at the south end of Berwick-upon-Tweed on the Northumbrian Coast.

It is an area rich in history -- Berwick changed hands
thirteen times between the English and Scots,
and was in its time the third most
important town in Britain.

Berwick has the only remaining set of
Elizabethan walls in the country.

Castles abound everywhere, and for
nature lovers we have bird sanctuaries
to the north and south, the famous River Tweed
and the remote Cheviot Hills.

Our region is marketed as
"The Secret Kingdom"
